Including Spiral spring bushing bearing, Spherical roller bearing, RUB needle roller bearing, SKF - CARB bearing, etc . However, with the continuous upgrading and innovation of the industry. Timken's ADAPT series bearings are widely used in steel plants in China, India, the United States and other countries. FV bearing is designed to meet the requirements of steel mill users. FV has studied the ADAPT roller bearing of CCM since 2018.  It is expected that the great project of localization of adapt bearings will be completed in 2021. This is beneficial to the steel plant. FV bearings save huge production costs for global steel plants.

ADAPT Roller Bearings

The ADAPT roller bearing combines the traditional cylindrical roller bearing and spherical roller bearing configurations. Its proprietary outer race and roller profiles plus a cylindrical inner ring combine the key attributes of both bearing types. This unique three-point contact design geometry provides simultaneous misalignment and axial displacement performance, optimizes contact stress distribution, and helps promote roller stability. The result is a more dynamic, more reliable bearing.

The ADAPT bearing consists of an inner ring, outer ring, and roller/retainer assembly. The separable components simplify installation, removal, and inspection. The retainer holds the rollers in position, creating a single assembly that prevents the rollers from being damaged during mounting and dismounting. The inner ring and outer ring can be installed in either direction, helping to avoid common mounting errors.
